I have been looking around www.lourdesperez.com and really am impressed by the exceptional content material here. I work the nightshift at my job and it really gets boring. I have been coming right here for the past couple nights and reading. I just wanted to let you know that I've been enjoying what I've seen and I look forward to reading more.

I read about you earlier this week in the New York Times and I have to say that after looking you up and hearing your music it made me sad that people never get to hear the really, really good music like the music that you do. Hola Lourdes, I don't speak spanish very well but I love your music! I like things that are unusual and your music is beautiful and very, VERY different. I read the articles comparing you to other singers like Mercedes Sosa, but I think that it is just a convenient comparison. My response to the Lourdes Perez recording I received is a rousing standing ovation! Her renditions are powerful and emotional. They speak to my very soul, despite the fact that I do not understand Spanish. I am so thankful that we have performers like Lourdes in our otherwise imperfect world, those who are willing to take on a cause wholeheartedly, fight for it and devote their talent, their music to it.
