Lourdes Pérez and May Nasr are completing work on a new duet CD in Spanish and Arabic based on their live performance, Written in Water. The CD is scheduled for release early next year. Perez and Nasr will meet in a New York studio to complete recording in this December.

A grandfather who was a multi-instrumentalist and poet died before they were born, but he obviously left his musical inclinations to Lourdes and her 8 sisters and brothers. Her sister Miriam Perez (the youngest vocalist in the family), has released her second CD with her group Somos Tres.

The new CD, Somos Tres le canta a Sylvia Rexach y Sylvio Rodriguez features Miriam’s elegant contralto and the crystalline guitar of Jose Flores and is a tribute to two of Puerto Rico and Cuba's most beloved songwriters.
